Colon Cleanse: - Colon Cleansing Is Essential ? Taking Care Of Your Insides

Doctors promote cleansing of the colon to promote good health. If the colon is not working right, toxins must leave the body through other avenues. Bad halitosis, body odor can be taken care of with colon cleansing. Doctors say that cleansing the colon cleanses every tissue and cell in the human body. Toxic matter in the colon can cause colon diseases, headaches, fatigue, muscle aches, lupus, and cardiovascular disease. Cleansing the colon can also get rid of unwanted parasites that our bodies might be harboring. These parasites can come from insect bites, rare meat, vegetables not cleaned properly, and pets and even through sexual activity. In fact, it?s more common to pass on parasites than it is to pass on a venereal disease.

Our body is designed for the bowels to move after every meal. In our western civilization, that is hard to do so we have trained our body to once a day. When our colons become backed up then serious problems can develop. A toxic colon can lead to food intolerance and becomes a breeding ground for bacteria. Even though you may have regular bowel movements, the waste can pass through the colon and still leave accumulated residue on the walls behind it. A dirty colon can cause the muscles of the colon wall to lose tone, and ballooning or pouches can form causing diverticulosis. Food is trapped in these pouches and become breeding grounds for bacteria.

If you have any of the following symptoms, you may well benefit from colon cleansing. Depression, cold hands or feet, chronic fatigue, endometriosis, circulation problems, memory loss, low sex drive, gas, insomnia, irritability, allergies, body odor and bad breath. Brittle nails and hair, blood pressure, memory loss and inability to concentrate are also a few more symptoms of colon toxins.

How do you clean out the colon? There are several different ways, some that will do it quickly and some gradually. There is even colonic irrigation that is very quick and an efficient way to wash away years of impacted feces and toxins.

A more gradual process will do the same thing, but you will begin to see improvements within a short time after starting the process. Skin problems disappear, chronic fatigue is alleviated, and the whites of the eyes regain their youthful clearness. The gradual process takes a period of several weeks, with the patient starting out eating raw food as 50 percent of their diet. By adding two teaspoonfuls of Metamucil or Citrucel and drinking a lot of water can get you started on your colon cleansing. Water is an important part of the cleansing. Some people believe they shouldn?t drink a lot of water because they tend to retain fluids. The opposite is true. The body retains the fluids because it isn?t getting enough fluid and tries to hang on to what it gets. The recommendation is to drink two quarts of water a day and start the day with at least a pint of hot water before breakfast.

Irritable Bowel Syndrome can be helped with a colon cleansing. I can personally attest to that, as I was required to do a bowel cleansing before having a colonoscopy. I had suffered for years with Irritable Bowel Syndrome, I was terrified to eat at fairs or street festivals, or eat and then get right in a car to travel. After going through three days of fasting and laxatives and foul tasting stuff to drink, I had my test. Nothing was found, but the result was that I felt wonderful and had no Irritable Bowel Attacks for over three years after I had my test. I?m not saying it was a pleasant experience to go through as it wasn?t the gradual process described above, but it did leave me feeling great and totally rejuvenated.

There are supplements available that are designed specifically for colon cleansing. These come in capsule form and are not too expensive. They can be found at any drugstore or natural food store.

It?s been said that a positive effect of colon cleansing is a positive feeling and becoming extremely energetic. Reducing the toxins and the breeding ground for germs also can result in a dramatic increasing in immunity from any type of infection.

Colon Cleanse: - Unbeatable Article Headlines: Just A Colon Away

The issue of unbeatable article headlines is an inexhaustible discussion. But the fact remains that unless you get your reader to click through and read what you've taken the time to write, then your articles are NOT fully realized. And that's NOT fully acceptable.

Now, to be fair, unbeatable article headlines is actually VERY much a moving science. Opinions will constantly differ as to how much it should tease, how much it should provoke, how much it should anger (etc) the would-be readers. It's one of those ask a million people get a million answers things.

Realizing that there are a ka-billion different ways to write the headline, here's a really nice approach you may want to try…

Take your number one keyword and put it first…then use a colon (:) and then follow it up with a rhetorical question that literally DEMANDS TO BE ANSWERED WITH THE READERS' INVOLVEMENT.

That sound like a lot to do, but it's nothing.

Let's say your topic is about "New Baby Toys" Remember: that's ONE keyword.

Okay. You might be a new parent (congrats) so you know your topic. You have your keyword and you're ready to go. So why not lead strong? Why not lead with your EXACT keyword?

Absolutely, make it the very front of your headline. Then put your colon right after it. So, here's where you stand…

"New Baby Toys:"

So far so good. But now comes the part that's most fun…and it's what we really get at on my site. The next part is where you can vary your approach TREMENDOUSLY.

You have a huge variety of buttons you can now push. You've set up the reader with your keyword up front, so he/she knows EXACTLY what ballpark you're writing in…now empower it.

Be evocative. Be daring. Be assumptive. Challenge. Demand. Ask. Instill.

New Baby Toys: How Do We Know They're Safe?
New Baby Toys: Here's How NOT To Overspend On Them
New Baby Toys: $400 Dollars?!?

By putting people into the right mindset, you follow it up with a captivating thought which you answer in your own set of words.

It works.

Using your keyword as your article lead, then following it with a colon and a question that begs to be answered is just ONE of the many ways to construct unbeatable article headlines.

There are many.

Colon Cleanse: - Colon Polyps Up Close

Health is wealth, as the old saying goes. Simple, but true. You might believe you're already keeping yourself fit and healthy. But usually, even if you don't see or feel something wrong, there actually IS something wrong.

Such is the case of colon polyps. Generally, polyps are extra tissues that grow inside the body. And colon polyps particularly, grow inside the large intestines, which are a major part of the digestive system. The colon is where the body produces and stores stool.

Colon polyps, more often than not, cause no symptoms. In extreme cases however, people with colon polyps exhibit symptoms such as bleeding from the anus, blood in the stool and diarrhea or constipation which lasts for more than a week.

Colon polyps vary in sizes and appearances. The small ones look like warts while the big ones resemble cherries on a branch. Majority of colon polyps, specially the small ones, are benign and not dangerous. However, bear in mind that large polyps can become or are already cancerous, specially those larger than 1 centimeters. There may be one or more polyps in the intestines. Thus, it is always advisable for doctors to test and remove all polyps.

People who are at greater risk for colon polyps are those over 50 years of age and those who have had polyps before. In fact, the risk of colon polyps developing into colon cancer increases as one grows older. Statistics show that about 20 per cent of adults may have one or more colon polyps.

In addition, genetics may play a factor as those belonging to families whose member have had polyps or cancer of the large intestine may have a greater chance of getting colon polyps.

Eating a lot of unhealthy fatty food, obesity, smoking, excessive alcohol and lack of exercise are also reported to cause colon polyps. Studies indicate that smokers who consumer more than 20 cigarettes a day are at risk for developing polyps by 250 per cent more than non-smokers. Those who drink excessively are at risk for developing polyps by 87 per cent compared to those who do not drink.

There are four different tests used by doctors to check for polyps. The first one is barium enema wherein the doctor puts a liquid called barium into the large intestine through the anus. The barium makes the large intestines appear white in the x-ray while polyps appear dark and so spotting them is quite easy.

Another test is the digital rectal exam wherein the doctor, wearing gloves, would examine the rectum to check if it feels normal. This method only checks for polyps in the rectum.

Sigmoidoscopy, on the other hand, utilizes a sigmoidoscope- a thin flexible tube equipped with a light and a minute video camera. This is inserted into the rectum and is used to look up to the third of the large intestine.

Another similar method is colonoscopy. This method uses a sigmoidoscope and checks all of the large intestine. This method requires sedation.

The doctor then removes the polyp either through the sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy or operations through the abdomen.

Although medical treatment are available for colon polyps, prevention is still the most the effective and efficient way.

To lower the risk of developing polyps, shift to healthy eating. This would mean lessening the intake of fatty food and increasing the intake of fruits and vegetables. Particularly, eat foods rich in calcium such as milk, broccoli and cheeses. Also, eat foods rich in folate such as kidney beans, spinach and chickpeas. Contrary to popular belief, it is not mainly the fiber in vegetables and fruits that fight colon polyps but the phytochemicals which act against cancer. Avoid smoking and alcohol, lose weight and exercise regularly.

And because colon polyps rarely exhibits symptoms, general check ups or screenings must be regularly done to detect their existence early.

At this point, more studies are under way to find out the effectiveness of aspirin, turmeric and other substances in decreasing the risks for colon polyps.

Again, health is wealth. Don't risk yourself in developing colon polyps. Eat healthily, exercise regularly and never fail to visit your doctor for general check ups and you are on your way to a polyp-free and healthy you.
